It is a 5-minute drive from the South Exit of Mito Station to “Besshunkan,” operated by Meiri Shurui. Here, you can find a variety of alcoholic beverages, including Meiri Shurui’s sake and umeshu (plum wine), which has won first place in a national top umeshu competition. Free tastings are also available.
In addition, there is a plum wine cellar and an exhibition room featuring old sake brewing tools that you can explore freely.
